Frequently asked questions
- How much does Ignia cost?
- Nothing. Every feature in the app is free. There is an optional tip if you want to support development — it unlocks no features.
- How do I delete my account and data?
- In the app: open Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all logged data. You can also email me and I'll do it for you.
- How do I export my data?
- Settings → Data → Download CSV exports your full log history.
- I forgot my password.
- Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link. If you originally signed up with Google or Apple, use that same button to sign back in — there's no password on those accounts.
- The barcode scanner won't open the camera.
- Camera access was declined. Open iOS Settings → Ignia → Camera (or Android Settings → Apps → Ignia → Permissions) and allow camera access. Ignia only uses the camera to read barcodes; no photos are stored or uploaded.
- My calorie target looks wrong.
- Targets come from your height, weight, age, activity level and goal. Re-check them in Settings → Goals. Ignia also recalibrates your daily target over time from your real weight trend.
- Does Ignia work offline?
- The web app (ignia.fit) works offline and syncs when you reconnect. The mobile app needs a connection to sync between devices.
- Is my data private?
- Yes. Your logs are yours. Ignia does not sell data and shows no ads. See the privacy policy for specifics.
- How do I report a bug?
- Email the address above with a screenshot if you can. Bug reports are the fastest way to get something fixed.
