What Ignia stores, what it never collects, and how to delete your account and data. No ads, no data selling, no cross-site tracking.

What we store
When you sign in with Google, we store your email, display name, and profile photo URL — nothing else from your Google account. Everything else in Ignia is stuff you enter yourself: weight, calories, protein, dates, body measurements, meal labels, training toggles, and custom meal presets.
All of this is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, scoped to your user ID. No one else — including us — can read it without your Google login.
Apple Health & Health Connect
If you connect Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), Ignia reads only the metrics you approve — weight, sleep, water, steps and active energy — and writes back the weight, sleep, water, body fat, nutrition and workouts you log, so the two stay in sync. Steps and active energy are read-only: your phone or watch measures them and Ignia never writes them back. This exchange happens on your device between Ignia and the system health store. Health data is used solely to keep your own log up to date: we never use it for advertising, never sell it, never share it with any third party, and never use it to train models. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, or in the Health Connect app on Android, and revoking it does not delete anything already saved in your Ignia log. Deleting your account removes that data along with everything else.
What we send to Google's Gemini AI
Two features send data to Google's Gemini AI:
Photo-to-Macros: the meal photo you take is sent to Gemini 2.0 Flash for calorie + protein estimation. Photos are processed in-flight and not retained by us. Google's API retention policy applies — see Gemini API terms.
AI Coach consultations: your question, 14-day log summary, profile fields (age, sex, height, activity level, pace), and current TDEE are sent to Gemini as context for each consultation. Your raw email, name, or photo are never included.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data to anyone.
We don't run ads.
We don't use your data to train any AI model.
We don't share your data with anyone outside our list of sub-processors: Google Cloud / Firebase (hosting, auth, Firestore, FCM), Google Gemini API (photo analysis + AI coach), Resend (transactional email — your address, so we can send password resets, the welcome email, and the weekly digest), Stripe (payments only — if you subscribe), and Sentry (crash reports, scrubbed of personal content). We don't use third-party analytics or ad trackers. We do keep a small first-party usage counter — one document per person per day, holding only how many times things like a meal being logged, or the app being opened, happened. It records no meal names, no macros, no photos and no free text, it lives in your own account, and it is deleted with it.
Your data, your call
Export: download all your logs as CSV from the dashboard at any time.
Full JSON export: every profile field, log, preset, weight, measurement, report, and quota record we hold for you — portable format for GDPR Art. 20 requests.
Delete: use the button below to permanently erase your account and every log, preset, weight, measurement, and report tied to it. This is irreversible.
Questions: email support@ignia.fit.
How to delete your account
You can delete your Ignia account and everything in it yourself, at any time. You don't need to ask us, and we don't ask why.
In the app: Settings → Delete account, then type delete to confirm.
On the web: there is no browser version of Ignia any more, so there is no web sign-in to delete from — use the app, or the email below.
If you can't sign in — you lost access to the account, or you already removed the app — email support@ignia.fit from the address you signed up with. We'll delete it for you, within 30 days and usually much sooner.
What gets deleted: your profile, every log, preset, custom food, weight, measurement, workout, and report, plus the sign-in record itself. Deleting the account also revokes Sign in with Apple. It is immediate and irreversible — there is no recovery window and no archived copy we can restore from.
What briefly remains: routine encrypted Firestore backups can still hold a copy for up to 30 days, as part of standard Google Cloud operation. They are not human-accessible, they are never used to repopulate a deleted account, and they age out automatically. After that, nothing of yours is left.
Your rights under GDPR
If you live in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to your data. You can exercise the following rights at any time — email us or use the in-app controls described in "what you can do" above.
Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct any inaccurate or incomplete data through the app or by emailing us.
Erasure — delete your account and all associated data (Privacy → Delete account).
Portability — export your logs as CSV from Dashboard → Export.
Restriction — ask us to stop processing your data while a dispute is resolved.
Objection — object to any processing you believe isn't legitimate.
Your rights under CCPA / CPRA
If you live in California, the CCPA and CPRA apply. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising, full stop. You have the right to know what personal data we hold, to request deletion, and to appeal any denial. Use the same export / delete controls above, or email us directly.
Data controller & jurisdiction
The data controller for Ignia is Bermudez Systems LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Preferred contact for data-subject requests is email: support@ignia.fit. If you can't use email, open a public issue at our GitHub issue tracker or use the in-app Settings → Feedback button. We respond within 30 days as required by GDPR. This policy and your use of Ignia are governed by the laws of the operator's home jurisdiction (Puerto Rico, United States), without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Medical disclaimer
Ignia is not a medical device, and the AI coach is not a dietician. Nothing in the app is medical advice. If you're doing anything clinically meaningful — a cut below 1,500 kcal, weight loss of more than 1% body weight per week, or eating for a medical condition — talk to a real human doctor or RD first.
